I. Get CELO
We assume that you are experienced cryptocurrency investors, we will skip the part on how to use a centralized exchange.
1. Purchase CELO On Centralized Exchanges
- You may purchase CELO on many centralized exchanges in the link below.
- We recommend you to buy CELO on Binance: https://www.binance.com/en/trade/CELO_BUSD
2. Withdraw CELO To Your MetaMask
- As CELO Network can be used on MetaMask wallet, you may withdraw CELO on Binance to your MetaMask wallet.
- Go to the withdrawal link: https://www.binance.com/en/my/wallet/account/main/withdrawal/crypto/CELO
- After successfully withdrawn CELO from Binance to your MetaMask, let’s move on to the next step: Configure Celo Network.
II. Configure Celo Network
In this part, we will give you 2 methods to configure Celo Network
1. Using Chainlist.org
- Go to Chainlist — A tool helping users connect to EVM powered networks: https://chainlist.org
- Follow these steps:
- Choose the wallet you would like to connect and click “Next”. Then click “Connect”.
- After successfully connected, click “Add To Metamask”
- Click “Approve” and “Switch network”. You’re done!
2. Configuring Directly On Your MetaMask
- Open MetaMask, click your profile image on the top right corner, and then click “Settings”.
- Next, scroll down and click to “Networks”. Press the “Add Network” button.
- Fill out the following values of Celo Network:
- Click “Save” and you will see CELO in your MetaMask wallet:
- Since you already got CELO in your wallet, let’s go to the following step: Participate In CeloLaunch IDO.

III. Swap CELO to cUSD
- Go to Mento Finance: https://mento.finance
- Click “Connect” and choose “MetaMask” to connect your wallet
- Input amount of CELO you would like to swap to cUSD and click “Continue”
- Click “Swap” to confirm your swap
- Mento Finance will perform 2 actions, click confirm for both.
- After that, click “Import tokens” to import cUSD to your MetaMask wallet
- Paste cUSD contract 0x765de816845861e75a25fca122bb6898b8b1282a into the “Token Contract Address” and click “Add Custom Token”
- Done! You finally see your cUSD in your MetaMask wallet.
IV. Participate In MetaCelo Community Round
1. Connect Your Wallet To CeloLaunch Platform
- Go to MetaCelo Community Pool: https://app.celolaunch.io/project/61e9164641df2c6b7e299696
- You have to connect your wallet to the dApp to check your whitelist status.
- Choose the wallet you would like to connect and click “Next”. Then click “Connect”.
2. Check Your Whitelist Status
- If you are NOT WHITELISTED, you should see as below:
- If you are WHITELISTED, you should see a button “Approve” to spend your cUSD on CeloLaunch Platform.
3. Participate In IDO
MetaCelo Community Round will happen in 2 rounds:
⭐ Round 1 (Whitelist Round)
For whitelist winners. The Whitelist Round will happen for 1 hour and follow FCFS mechanism.
- After checking your whitelist status and clicking “Approve”, you should see the minimum and maximum amount of cUSD that you could purchase.
- Fill out the amount you would like to buy and click “Buy”, then you should see a pop-up window saying “Buy successfully!”.
⭐ Round 2 (FCFS Round)
After Round 1 concludes and does not reach hard cap of 200,000 cUSD, you will immediately be able to participate in Round 2. This round is FCFS.
- Fill out the amount you would like to buy and click “Buy”, then you should see a pop-up window saying “Buy successfully!”.
- After the hard cap reaches or IDO time is over, the IDO will end. You cannot purchase at this time.
- Let’s move on to the next stage: Claim your tokens.
4. Claim Tokens
- The distribution will happen after IDO a specific time, please follow the channel for update. (E.g: 24 hours after the IDO)
- When the countdown is over, you could claim your tokens.
